We’re excited to introduce to you the newest venture in our attempts to raise awareness of the totally awesome indie music happening right here, right now.
Each month we’ll be distributing a new poster to local bars, venues, cafes, shops, etc. These posters have flyers for all the shows that we at PeerValidated are interested in, and all the shows that we think you, our readers, will be interested in.
The posters, like the first one, shown on the left with Megafaun’s “Gather, Form and Fly,” cover, will feature album artwork mostly from local releases, as well as the possibility for a few images from national LP covers that we’ve recently reviewed or particularily love. A few of the show flyers will also be decorated with a red PV logo, something we’re calling the PeerValidated Stamp of Approval. Whether it be because they feature a great out of town band(Rosebuds show on July 20), a local band’s album release(The Heart Pills on August 5), or just a really solid all-around lineup and venue, we expect these shows to be the very best of the best.
Hopefully the flyers will be an organized and convenient way to find out about good shows in the area without having to go to a bunch of different bands’ websites or Facebook pages. As always, all these shows will be posted on our sidebar calendar as soon as we find out about them.
