If electronic music is your dig, and dancing is your crime, you are in for a rare treat. Saturday the Mousetrap will be hosting Votel, a collaborative project bringing together an impressive group of Minneapolis area musicians. Members include Maggie Morrison (Look Book + Digitata), Drew Christopherson (Solid Gold + Digitata), Ben Clark (MG and The Pants + Cecil Otter), Mark McGee (Marijuana Deathsquads + To Kill A Petty Bourgeoisie) and Adam Marx (Seawhores). The group offers a mixture of improvised and written electronic music with some live instrumentation and tripped-out, processed vocals. We can expect a high-energy dance fest, and with The Ronald Raygun in support, there is little else I could imagine doing this Saturday night.
