I don’t know how Nada Surf does it, but they keep writing records that I love. It’s so weird, because I know exactly what their next song is going to sound like, but it still manages to sound fresh, and beautiful, and more teenagery than I’ve ever been (even as a teenager). Their new record, Lucky is more of the same. Sure they put horns on it, they dress up some stuff and dress down other stuff, but it’s the same Nada Surf that you’ve grown to love. Who says that amazing music has to reinvent the wheel?
