Nothing is going to keep Scott Reitherman down, period. He’s the creative mind behind the happy-go-lucky music of Throw Me The Statue. Their new album Moonbeams is a perfectly ironic way to battle these coldest days of the year, probably because it was released in the middle of the summer and sounds like background music for a vacation-in-paradise trip for two. Electronic swing beats, hand claps, ukuleles, hand bells and tambourines push this album a little over the top, but for as long as you can tango, Throw Me The Statue will pump out the tunes.
I don’t know why, but I bet Lolita makes a great spanish rice dish. Is that offensive?

Just listened and liked. There’s no denying the ‘get up and dance… or else’ poppy beats. Scott deftly arranges these summery components to accompany a fun but thoughtful voice.
