This song fucking rules.

The sound that Jordon Robson-Cramer gets his guitar to make is perhaps the foremost reason why Sunset Rubdown is one of the most important bands alive right now. The distortion, the delay, the reverb. Dude knows how to use his effect pedals. That opening riff is probably my favorite “triumphant introduction” to an album ever. I found Shut Up I Am Dreaming to be a pretty fun disc, but I certainly didn’t give it more than a few good listens. I wasn’t sold on this band until I heard this guitar riff.

And then the pianos come in. And everything else comes in. And it’s just great indie rock. The lyrics, the changes, the backup vocals. Robson-Cramer’s guitar holds the entire piece together, of course. Try it. You’ll like it.
