Hey, remember when I said that I’d put up some tracks from time to time even if they were “old” (not in the last couple of months) and not necessarily “cred”. Well, it’s two months since then, and I’ve got another one. Don’t worry bearded white guys with interesting eyewear, this isn’t nearly as old or not as hip as Buena Vista Social Club.
I’ve never been a big Built to Spill fan, especially since Kyle told me about a less than awesome Built to Spill show (having less to do with the band and more to do with the awful people watching them). This is different. My girlfriend (not made up) played this in the car while we were on our way to the fringe festival in Minneapolis. I can’t put my finger exactly on it, but there’s just something about the melody or guitar or something that makes it seem like the perfect September song. Please listen to this with oversized headphones on your way to the first day of school.
